Alison spoke in the Microbes and Small Molecules Symposium at the Marine Biological Laboratory (Woods Hole, MA) as part of the Microbial Diversity Course organized by Dianne Newman (Caltech) and Jared Leadbetter (Caltech). The symposium was a blast, from Roberto Kolter's opening remarks to Paula Welander (Stanford University in Environmental Earth Systems Science and Biology), Michi Taga (UC Berkeley in Plant & Microbial Biology), and Emily Balskus, Harvard University in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology) to Roberto Kolter's closing comments.  What a powerhouse symposium.
