Alison Butler's laboratory is located at UCSB, a few minutes north of the city of Santa Barbara and only 92 miles north of Los Angeles. With the recently improved Santa Barbara Airport (SBA), just next door to the campus, UCSB is easy to reach by air.  Train service to Goleta (the closest train stop to UCSB) from Los Angeles, San Diego and points in between is also convenient.
