My research in the Bowers group is focused on studying the effect of inhibitors on the oligomerization and aggregation processes of amyloid β-peptide fragments [Aβ(25-35)] using ion-mobility mass spectrometry, theoretical modeling and other imaging techniques (AFM). I am also involved in developing a new instrument that is capable of imaging and qualitatively probing the chemical identity of thin films at high resolution (in collaboration with the Buratto group).
