Biography

Joel was born and raised in San Jose, California. He learned to love chemistry in his high school chemistry class, when he was shown the importance of chemistry in mitigating major environmental concerns. When not in school or lab, he loves playing violin and running.

Research Area

Joel is currently working on the synthesis of actinide-carbon multiple bonds with his graduate student mentor, Gregg Kent.
