Biography

Peter completed his undergraduate degree at UC Irvine in 2011.  Afterwards, he spent one year working as a research associate at Sonoma State University under the tutelage of Professor Carmen Works.  In 2012, he began his graduate studies at UC Santa Barbara and is currently a fifth year student in the laboratory of Professor Trevor Hayton.

Research Area

Peter is currently working on expanding our understanding of the ketimide (N=CR₂)^- ligand by characterizing new transition metal ketimide complexes.  Additionally, he is working on generating and stabilizing cerium-ligand multiple bonds.
