Biography

Juan is a 4th year chemistry student at UCSB, expecting to graduate in spring 2019. Originally from Mexico City, but a long-time resident of Los Angeles, California. His love for chemistry was nurtured by his mom, a biochemist who showed him that creativity and knowledge blends to create discovery. His hobbies include, swimming, anime, and trying food from other countries.

Juan is working toward the synthesis of new sulfur-atom transfer reagents.
